The Moon Run Volunteer Fire Department Color Guard

The Moon Run Color Guard was founded by Captain Tom Somma in the wake of the horrible tragedy of September 11th, 2001.  The Color Guard is a way for the Moon Run Volunteer Fire Department to pay a small tribute to the 343 brother firefighters that were lost in New York City, as well as all of our Brothers lost in the Line of Duty.

The first ever gathering of the Color Guard was at the Moon Run Volunteer Fire Department in a special memorial ceremony.  Several neighboring departments were also in attendance. The following are pictures from that day:

September 11, 2002 - One year later

One year after the terrorist attacks, Moon Run like many departments held a memorial service to honor all the men and women who lost their lives that day.

Moon Run Fire-Rescue would like to thank all who took time out of their busy schedules to participate including: Father Bob (Holy Trinity), American Legion Post 862, Township Commissioner Bill Blumling, Robinson EMS, Robinson Township Police Department, Department of Public Works, and the Bayer Fire Brigade.  A special thanks to the community which we serve, your support helps us protect your homes and businesses.  Also an extra thank you to Bayer Corporation for their continued support of our Department
